Wimbledon 2026: Celebrities become centre of attention at London’s Centre Court.
Wimbledon is more than just a Grand Slam tournament, it's one of Britain's biggest style moments. From royalty to A-list celebrities, here's a look at the standout outfits that stole the spotlight.

imbledon 2026 has just wrapped after another fortnight of world class tennis. This year over two million viewers watched, and over ten thousand people attended. After numerous tense games of tennis, we were able to witness the competition winner, Jannik Sinner grasp the trophy. But while others might not be aware, another competition unfolds between the celebrities in attendance to compete for best dressed.
It’s known that celebrities adore the special atmosphere Wimbledon offers, compared to other sporting events. Unlike football matches, where there are thousands of fans crammed into one large stadium, Wimbledon has numerous tennis courts. This allows a more relaxed approach, also offering more sporting variety such as wheelchair tennis and junior matches. Also, there’s no sports kit culture like there is at football and rugby, you can simply show up in your outfit of choice.
So far leading the style conversation is Wimbledon Patron, the Princess of Wales, whose appearance is always eagerly anticipated. For her first appearance, she arrived in a tailored cornflower-blue Gabriela Hearst trouser suit. The refined style of tailoring, and timelessness of the brand mirrors the identity of Wimbledon and royalty. She softened this look by styling her hair in a relaxed ponytail, and natural makeup. Yet in the final, she wore a statement sage dress, a purple bow brooch and her hair down in curls. The dramatic contrast between outfits, represents the timeline of the tennis matches. A casual first match vs the final deadly decider.
Following the Princess’s suited approach is Sir David Beckham. Beckham was captured in a grey suit, tailored by Hugo Boss. Beckham was seen mingling with Wimbledon legend Djokovic in a fitted white shirt, mustard tie and gold cufflinks. Beckham has worn numerous Boss suits to Wimbledon in previous years, showing his loyalty to the brand, as well as the tennis.
Whether you’re a member of the public or a high profile celebrity you can enjoy the tennis in the summer sunshine your own way. Many fortunate public figures enjoy attending Wimbledon in the royal box. This is a renowned seating area where royals, celebrities and many influential people are invited to watch the game.
This year in attendance, we have spotted many celebrities such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Virgil van Dijk, Cynthia Erivo, and HM Queen Camilla. Not only do they seat high ranking royals and celebrities in the box, but this year they invited the charity advocates and marathoners Jordan and Cian Adams, the FTD Brothers. In previous years, the royal box only seated royalty and former tennis stars, for example in 2006 some stars included Princess Alexandra, and tennis stars Pete Sampras and Björn Borg. It’s clear celebrity attendance at Wimbledon has diversified since then, possibly due to the rise of social media and generally celebrity and influencer culture itself.
There’s no doubt that Wimbledon is perceived as a prestigious sporting event attracting well known celebrities and stylish stars, but don’t be fooled, as it also attracts the typical brit wanting to put on a casual summer outfit and enjoy tennis in the sunshine, with the chance to celebrity spot I’m sure.
